Case No. 8

The patient presented to complete comprehensive treatment following orthodontic therapy. The main objectives were to improve dental aesthetics and function while preserving the natural teeth despite existing challenges (root resorption in the anterior region and an old implant).

The treatment plan included several stages:

Surgical stage: removal of the wisdom teeth and the non-restorable tooth #36 with immediate implant placement (Straumann) to restore masticatory function.

Therapeutic stage: revision of root canal treatments and artistic restoration of the lower anterior teeth to enhance aesthetics.

Prosthetic stage — the key phase: complete reconstruction of the dental arches. On the upper jaw, 12 modern zirconia crowns with E.Max ceramic veneering were fabricated and fixed. On the lower jaw, the posterior teeth were restored with crowns, and an individual zirconia abutment with a crown was placed on the implant.

Result: a harmonious, healthy smile was achieved, and full chewing function was restored. The coordinated teamwork of the specialists made it possible to systematically address the patient’s complex challenges, combining strength, durability, and natural aesthetics.
