Quality treatment is the credo of City Smile Dental Center. It is precisely because we are confident in the quality of our work that we are extending the warranty period and introducing an extended warranty for dental treatment, prosthetics and implants.

The warranty period for the services of our dental center exceeds the norms regulated by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Moreover, City Smile provides a warranty even for some of those items, which according to the norms of the Ministry of Health should not be covered by the warranty.

Extended warranty terms and conditions
Fillings made of composite light-curing material:
Caries on the chewing surface of teeth 24 months.
Caries on the chewing and contact (lateral) surfaces of teeth 12 months.
Caries on the contact surface of anterior teeth (incisors and canines) 24 months.
Caries on the contact surface of anterior teeth with destruction of the crown angle, caries in the gingival zone 24 months.
Restoration of all groups of teeth (direct veneering) 24 months.
Glass ionomer cement (SIC) filling:
Caries on the chewing surface of teeth 6 months.
Caries on the chewing and contact (lateral) surfaces of teeth 6 months.
Caries on the contact surface of the front teeth (incisors and canines) 6 months.
Caries on the contact surface of the anterior teeth with destruction of the crown angle 6 months.
Caries in the gingival zone 6 months.
Retention structures
Fiberglass splint (for tooth mobility) 18 months.
Orthodontic retainer 9 months.

In order to receive warranty service during the entire warranty period, the patient must in turn fulfill the following recommendations:

  • Observe the rules of oral hygiene
  • Preventive dental care at least twice a year (in some cases, our specialists can adjust the schedule and frequency of preventive appointments based on the patient’s individual situation).
  • Immediately contact the dental center if there are complications, damage to the filling or retention structure

In case of non-compliance with these recommendations, in case of self-treatment or interference in our work by specialists from other clinics, City Smile Medical Center reserves the right to revise the terms of the warranty.

Also, the warranty does not cover injuries, damage to teeth and structures under extreme loads (chewing nuts, bones, etc.).

According to the norms of the Ministry of Health, the guarantee does not apply to endotherapy, and we cannot give such a guarantee, taking into account many critical factors that the doctor cannot influence. Therefore, we operate with the concept of “treatment prognosis”, i.e. the probability of successful treatment in each specific case.

For our part, we guarantee the professionalism and skill of the doctor, the quality of the clinic’s equipment, compliance with treatment protocols, and the quality of materials used. And our dental center meets the highest standards of endodontic treatment: manipulations are carried out only under a microscope, clinic specialists have extensive years of practical experience, strictly follow protocols and use the highest quality materials. It is this combination that allows us to achieve a favorable result in 98% of cases.

But there are also critical factors affecting the outcome of treatment that are related to the personal characteristics of the patient:

  • immune function
  • anatomical features
  • oral microflora composition

Therefore, we can guarantee the absence of errors and deficiencies in the treatment process, but it is not possible to guarantee a positive result in all 100% of cases.

In some cases where the situation is initially highly problematic and there is a significant possibility that the treatment may not achieve the desired result, we make sure to warn the patient of this risk.

Fixed prosthetics:
Metal-ceramic crown 36 months.
Zirconium crown 36 months.
Ceramic crown 24 months.
Ceramic veneer 18 months.
Temporary plastic crown (made in the office) 1 month.
Temporary plastic crown (made in the laboratory) 4 months.
Removable prosthetics:
Clip-on prosthesis 24 months.
Elastic removable prosthesis 18 months.

In order to receive warranty service during the entire warranty period, the patient must in turn fulfill the following recommendations:

  • Observe the rules of oral hygiene
  • Preventive dental care at least twice a year (in some cases, our specialists can adjust the schedule and frequency of preventive appointments based on the patient’s individual situation).
  • Follow recommendations for the care of orthodontic appliances
  • Immediately contact the dental center in the event of structural failure or complications
  • In the case of removable prostheses, it is necessary to visit the doctor at least once every six months for an examination and, if necessary, to carry out routine work to maintain the full function of the prosthesis: relining, cluster activation, matrix replacement, occlusion checks

In case of non-compliance with these recommendations, in case of self-treatment or interference in our work by specialists from other clinics, City Smile Medical Center reserves the right to revise the terms of the warranty.

Also, the warranty does not cover injuries, damage to teeth and structures under extreme loads (chewing nuts, bones, etc.).

Guarantee on implant rejection 18 months.
Crown warranty 36 months.
Implant warranty 5 years

In case of implant failure (according to the statistics of our clinic, this happens in less than 1% of cases), we are obliged to carry out free extraction of such an implant, treatment of the hole, and installation of a new implant (the patient pays only for anesthesia and sterile coating). In case of mechanical failure of the implant, it is also replaced within the entire 5-year warranty period. This warranty is provided for all implants placed by City Smile Dental Center.

To maintain the guarantee, the patient should follow the following recommendations:

  • Observe the rules of oral hygiene
  • Have a professional dental hygiene with our specialists at least twice a year, during the procedure the doctor makes an examination and can detect possible problems at the very initial stages (in some cases our specialists can adjust the schedule and frequency of preventive appointments based on the individual situation of the patient).
  • If you experience any uncomfortable conditions, complications or the slightest nuance with the implant, you should contact City Smile Dental Center immediately

In case of non-compliance with these recommendations, in case of self-treatment or interference in our work by specialists from other clinics, City Smile Medical Center reserves the right to revise the terms of the warranty.

Also, the warranty does not apply to injuries, damage to the implant or crown by extreme loads (chewing nuts, bones, etc.), in case the patient has diseases and conditions that lead to changes in the dento-mandibular system during the warranty period.

Tooth extractions and other surgical procedures cannot be directly guaranteed, as the success of the procedures depends on many factors beyond the control of the doctor:

  • the patient’s immune system
  • anatomical features
  • microflora composition
  • presence of specific diseases, etc.

Therefore, we operate with the concept of “treatment prognosis”, i.e. the probability of successful treatment in each case.

THIS IS IMPORTANT. The effectiveness of treatment is strongly influenced by the fulfillment of all recommendations of the doctor, especially those related to oral hygiene and taking prescribed medications

The guarantee does not apply to any periodontal treatment, as the outcome is very much dependent on the personal characteristics of the patient:

  • the patient’s immune system
  • anatomical features
  • microflora composition
  • presence of specific diseases, etc.

Therefore, we operate with the concept of “treatment prognosis”, i.e. the probability of successful treatment in each case.

THIS IS IMPORTANT. Fulfillment of all doctor’s orders, especially those related to oral hygiene (including brushing, irrigating, flossing) and taking prescribed medications, has a decisive influence on the results of treatment.

For our part, in order to maximize the probability of success, we guarantee precise compliance with international treatment protocols, high qualification and extensive experience of our specialists, as well as the use of the most modern materials and techniques.

Filling of a milk tooth, photopolymer 24 months.
Filling of a milk tooth, glass ionomer 6 months.
Crown on a baby tooth 24 months.
Crown on a permanent tooth, photopolymer 24 months.
Filling of permanent tooth, glass ionomer 24 months.

The following guidelines should be followed by the patient’s parents to keep the warranty in effect throughout the warranty period:

  • Observe the child’s oral hygiene or supervise the child’s oral hygiene practices
  • To be seen by a dentist at least once every six months for preventive care (in some cases, our specialists can adjust the schedule and frequency of preventive care appointments based on the individual situation and age of the patient).
  • Have your child’s teeth professionally cleaned at least once every 4 months

In case of non-compliance with these recommendations, in case of self-treatment or interference in our work by specialists from other clinics, City Smile Medical Center reserves the right to revise the terms of the warranty. Also, the warranty does not cover injuries, damage to teeth and structures under extreme loads (chewing nuts, bones, etc.).

Children’s appointments are sometimes associated with certain difficulties related to the individual psychological characteristics of the child: a young patient cannot always sit for the allotted time in the dental chair, does not always listen to the doctor and fulfill his requests. Therefore, when the patient is very young or cannot psychologically adapt to the reception, the doctor cannot give a guarantee for the work performed, but in such a case he or she will inform the parent or accompanying person about it.

The warranty may be revised

The warranty may be revised in the case of:

  • patient pregnancy
  • The occurrence or diagnosis of diseases affecting the dento-mandibular system, specifically the teeth and surrounding tissues
  • Long-term use of specific medications that cause changes in the teeth and/or surrounding tissues
  • ignoring periodic preventive examinations (in general, the examination is done at least once every 6 months, if necessary, the doctor can change the frequency of the examination)
  • non-compliance with the recommendations of the attending physician
Treatment prognosis

Some dental services are not covered by a guarantee due to their specific nature. In such cases, the doctor will give a treatment prognosis (percentage of probability of successful treatment) based on the diagnosis of the patient’s condition. The prognosis is calculated individually, taking into account a variety of factors, and the doctor will inform the patient of this prognosis before treatment begins. This approach applies to the following services:

  • Root canal treatment.
  • Professional hygienic cleaning of the oral cavity
  • Placement of a temporary filling
  • Some types of orthodontic treatment
  • Surgical operations
  • Treatment of inflammation of the gum and surrounding tooth tissue
  • Treatment for paradontitis
  • Teeth whitening
  • Treatment of teeth that have indications for extraction (if the patient wishes to save a severely decayed tooth)
  • Placement of fillings in teeth indicated for prosthetics
